"I Volunteer in Salome, where we help kids with disabilities to become more independent in life. Some of our clients struggle to relax or with aggression which is why we have a relaxing room.

Already in my first weeks I had the idea to paint a wall in my workplace to bring more colour into the rooms. In the beginning I felt unsure if it would be a to big task for me since I never did something like that on my own before. On the “on-arrival” seminar of the national agency Czechia I told other volunteers about my idea and they encouraged me. I talked with my supervisor and together with my coworkers we decided that I would paint a sea landscape on the wall of the relaxing room. I used fluorescent colours 🎨 that shine in the darkness.

Even if my Mini project seemed too big for me sometimes I am very happy that I finished it and even more that my coworkers and the kids I work with like the result."🙂 Rika
