Maher and his typical day on the placement

Today, we would like to invite to our volunteer Maher´s placement! He volunteers with adults with disabilities and this is what he would like to tell you. Enjoy! 😁

"Hello, my name is Maher, and now I am volunteering in the Czech Republic to help adults with mental disabilities in a private shelter in the city of Novy Jčín (Archa). I start the day with escorting one of our clients to a workshop not far from the city, then I return and help the workers and social workers in the affairs of the shelter such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, walking with the clients, playing board games and so on. I am happy to be part of this small family and I hope to benefit from this unique experience."
