"Day with" Emma

"Emma visited my placement in Karviná. She participated in streetwork online and had the opportunity to play, talk and paint with boys and girls of different ages in Karvina 6. In addition, she also prepared a quiz in the club on line related to France, talked about her country, her customs, language barriers and answered different questions of the participants. In addition, at the end of the day we cooked together a typical Spanish dish and talked about our experiences as volunteers". Viru

My miniproject

"After Easter, I made with clients in my placement a typical Spanish dish called Torrijas. An easy sweet to make but very tasty, whose main ingredients are milk, cinnamon, eggs and sugar.

Its association with Easter is thought to be due to the need to take advantage of leftover bread during the time when meat could not be eaten. Also to the ability of this food to fill the stomach without offending beliefs". Viru
