"Big project" of our volunteers

One of "Go for it" occasions for volunteers is to cooperate together on "big" project. Let's read what our volunteers came up with:)

After the second seminar we consider a good idea share our experience as
volunteers with other young people to encourage them to be involve in volunteering.

So, volunteers from Spain, Turkey, Georgia and France decided to create a project to talk about volunteering in high schools. How one of us have had experience in carrying out activities in the Grammar school of Karviná
we decided to organize the "big project" there.

At first we talked about our workplaces, tasks and responsabilities. In addition, we gave useful information regarding the rights and functions of volunteering, advantages and disadvantages as well as their value for their future work.

Also, while we gave them dishes from Spain, France and Turkey, we answered their doubts and questions. It made us happy to see how they enjoyed the typical dishes of our respective countries.

Furthermore, we made a living library that allowed us to have a close conversation about their curiosities. It was a special time because we could have a deeper comunicattion about their concerns.

Finally, as a way of gratitude, the high school invited us to eat in the school canteen, which allowed us to remember our life as a student.
In summary, it was a day full of emotions in which we were able to motivate young people to be part of this adventure that is so important to us. (Viru)
