Anthony is a volunteer in Duhový dům, Ostrava, the center for people with different kinds of disabbilities. Let's look back a bit and find out more about his Christmas mini project.
"Wonderful Christmas event was organized in December in Duhový dům Ostrava, where clients of our services and its friends had chance to meet. Our volunteer Anthony prepared a presentation about himself and Christmas in France as his miniproject. So we could compare how people celebrate Christmas there and know a bit more about customs and different culture.
We tasted French pâté, baguettes and champagne that people usually drink at Christmas time. We tasted confectionery, that clients brought and together we listened to the Christmas story about the birth of Jesus Christ.
We enjoyed coffee from Mental Café and Anthony played the guitar and accompanied us so we could sing Christmas carols together. We enjoyed lovely Chrismas atmosphere." Hana Kračmarová, supervisor
"This miniproject made me realize that when I plan an interactive project, I have to prepare way more about the unexpected things rather than thinking everything will go according my plan...Furthermore, as things didn't go as I planned, I thought I failed my miniproject and that it was really bad. The positive feedback from my co-workers showed me that I actually succeeded it and that I may be too hard with myself. It made me realize that even if I feel like I failed, I can still succeed! So it makes me realize I simply underestimate what I do. And I'm happy to be more conscious of my abilities!" Anthony
