INVYA stands for „International Voluntary Year in Argentina“. We implemented this programme in cooperation with our Italian partner organization Diaconia Valdese. In 2015 organised a 9-month period of voluntary service in the city of Paraná for Miška (our former programme coordinator, currently on the maternity leave).
Miška worked with teenage mothers and their children.
By joining this voluntary service, you gain the chance to stimulate your spiritual, personal and professional development through conscious learning. Social, intercultural and socio-political learning are equally emphasised.

How about practicalities?
You will:
- work 5 days a week, 6 hours a day,
- have 2 days off each week and 2 additional days of holiday each month,
- receive pocket money and food allowance as well as accommodation,
- be entitled to an internet connection,
- have your visa and residence permit expenses for volunteering covered,
and
- you cannot leave the country after one year and not speak the language (at least a little bit), that’s why you will have a paid Spanish course for 90 minutes a week
- you will cover these expenses yourself:
- The costs to/from the selection weekend, to/from the pre-departure seminar and to/from the evaluation seminar.
- Other expenses, if specified.
